Israël a toujours eu une présence marquante au Concours Eurovision de la chanson, depuis sa première participation en 1973.

Le pays a remporté le concours à quatre reprises, avec des victoires notables en 1978, 1979, 1998, et plus récemment en 2018 avec la chanson "Toy" interprétée par Netta Barzilai.

Cette dernière victoire, qui marie pop moderne et éléments de la culture israélienne, a renforcé la réputation d'Israël comme une force créative dans le monde de la musique.
